Keeping Busy

Kyrie finished preschool camp a few weeks back and afterwards we found ourselves full of the ho-hums. As a result, I have been attempting to jump into gear more often and keep these kids busy with things other than the usual imaginarium in the playroom. Below are some photos of our recent escapades.

Thank God, Kyrie starts preschool again next week. She asks me everyday if today is a preschool day. I can't wait to finally tell her "yes" again.

Grandma Linda recently did a very nice thing - she organized my tupperware cabinet. These photos were taken approximately 1 hour after that wonderful deed. You can see why I don't bother to organize it most of the time.

Okay...I took one look at this photo and I have to say it - this looks one of my baby photos. Mom - can you corroborate that? For one second I thought she looked exactly like my Grandma Jean Berrall. Then, I thought, no...she looks like me! I think it is the impish smile. :-)

In swimming lessons, Lariska goes off the deep end. Kyrie could talk about nothing but how excited she was to go off the diving board on the last day of lessons. Then, when we got there she chickened out (even though she did it at the beginning of the summer and last year). So...no photos of the tall one.

Our girls, doing one thing they love to do together - snuggle their blankies and stuffed animals.

Hmmmm...I really don't know what we are looking at. Possibly absolutely nothing.

We decided to splurge and check out the sting ray exhibit. Unfortunately, Kyrie's arms were not quite long enough to reach as far in the pool as the sting rays were swimming. So...all we got was this lovely photo.

Kyrie is quite the helper these days.

Kyrie has a tomato plant in the garden this summer and we have been anxiously awaiting their transition to red. Kyrie finally declared this one red-enough and she had to eat right then.

Eating her tomato like it's an apple.

You can see that Lariska is going to be your typical girl - a multi-tasker who can talk on the phone and fix the gadget at the same time.
