Here are some photos I have been meaning to post:

Mud Pie

Where to begin...where to begin...

I have, many times in the past, left the girls to their own devices to play outside while Matt is mowing the lawn not too terribly far away. I was summoned into the house by the call of my computer and a few moments of quiet, but ultimately not for any peace. Whilst neither of their parents were too closely watching the girls deemed it an excellent idea of the utmost importance to mix their one-gallon container of bubbles with a planter full of dirt, thereby creating that age old pièce de résistance - the mud pie. Oh boy. Or, as Lariska would say, "Ho Man".

I have so many philosophical thoughts on this subject - the argument of boys vs. girls, the merits of not leaving children unattended even for a millisecond, what the perfect mud pie consistency is, and more... but, they say a picture is worth a thousand words:

Half-Day

Due to the 4th of July holidays, Matt only had a half-day of work yesterday. The girls capitalized on this opportunity by building towers with their Daddy. They had so much fun trying to build the blocks all the way to the ceiling - and I had a lot of fun watching them. It isn't often that we get to just spend a few hours playing with Daddy, so it was really awesome to have that time together.

Take a Moment

If you have a moment and you agree that poverty is bad and that fulfilling commitments is good, then please sign the petition at One to urge the G8 not to go back on their promise of monetary help to some of the world's poorest countries.

Thanks!
