Moving Out
This is a photo of all of the bags Kyrie packed all on her own today. She was very angry with me and decided to move out. They never made it any further than this spot on the floor, but there was quite the drama surrounding her move. Matt and I had a good laugh, but seriously...why is my six-year old acting like she is thirteen?

High-Interest Day
Today was High-Interest Day at Kyrie's school...which means, the kids got to go to four different classes during the day (instead of their regularly scheduled class) that were led by parents or businesses within the community on topics that were considered to be of "high interest" to the kids. I was on the High-Interest Day committee, so I also got to man the halls in between the classes. But, during the classes I was free to wonder around...which meant I went wherever Kyrie was and peeked in her classes and the like. She had one class on gemstones where they made a really pretty bracelet while learning about each stone as they added it. Another class was on Mad Science, where they conducted a few experiments, making something like Gak as well as turning a liquid different colors by changing its ph levels. I highly enjoyed that one! She also learned to Finger Knit - apparently this was quite difficult for my little first grader, but I think she enjoyed the class nonetheless. Finally, she had a class on manners (called "How to Eat a Brownie"). It was a very successful day and I was proud to be a part of the planning of it. I was, however, exhausted after a day completely on my feet (ugh, so out of shape) and was glad when we got to go home and rest!
Grandma Linda watched Declan and Lari all day and they had a fantastic time as well. Thank God for wonderful Grandmas!

Sledding
Amy's mom, Sue, sent me this picture. Kyrie went to Amy's house after school today and they had a great time sledding. Too cute!

Monkey Joe's
Matt took the kids to Monkey Joe's this morning - he met Dan and the Schambow kids there. Unfortunately, he only took pictures of Declan. Still, the ones he took are pretty cute!

Grandma's Birthday
Today we celebrated Grandma R's 83rd birthday. Unfortunately, we were stuck at home because the mini-van was in the shop; fortunately everyone came to us!

Makin' Cookies
Lari spent the afternoon at Grandma's house and they made cookies together for our Book Discussion. Looks like she had a very good time!

Kons Kids
The kids were being particularly cute at bedtime tonight. Declan wanted to sleep in Kyrie's bed and so Lari decided she did as well. They had a lot of fun squirming around together.
These photos were actually taken with the lights off. Too funny.

Disney Photo Favorites
To be sure, my father took all of the following photos. I basically took no photos of Disney simply because his camera is so much better and he is such a good photographer....why would I? Anyway...here are my favorites of the many photos he took. Hopefully, I will post a link to a web album with all of the photos very soon.
Princess Jasmyrie
Princess Cinder-Lari
Look closely at this photo. A real father-son-uncle moment.
Ask me about the wicked stepsisters - they were awesome.
So, my Dad was trying to impress his nephew (who is more like a brother or cousin) by reading, "Plato". Of course, with the giant Play-Doh tub right outside our hotel corridor, a photo could not help but ensue.
Ah yes, the classic, "Chilren Reading Plato" photo.
Kyrie may actually be reading "Plato".
Probably my favorite photo. Titled "Men with Strollers". These boys were very serious about their stollers.
Matt says that Lariska was completely Starstruck when she met "Fawn", "Tinkerbell" and "Vidia". Probably the highlight of Lari's week in Disney.

Weather
This is what my Weather Channel home page looks like right now. Notice...we were on the right yesterday, and now on the left today. Oh, and that "Alert" is for a blizzard. 78 to 21 is quite the difference (57 degrees to be exact). And the low for this evening is -2. Sigh. I miss you Disney World.
Pictures coming soon.
